From print to part and everything in between. We routinely receive a customers requirements in the form of a purchase order and print. Our group then goes to work sourcing the material to specifications required. Once material arrives and is verified it begins a journey through our facility visiting inspection at each step and ends up in shipping where it is prepared for transport to the customer.
In some cases we engage in prototype projects in which work is done tested re-done and re-tested. These projects require personnel skilled in deductive reasoning and problem solving. Often times these projects involve building parts for services never done before. Some of our larger clients use multiple shops around the country. When they receive parts that have an error they rely on us to repair these thereby avoiding expensive delays in returning the parts to the original vendor.
4 Axis CNC Milling
CNC milling is a computer controlled milling process that is very effective on cutting products. A CNC milling machine makes it possible to produce finely milled metal products for use in a variety of applications. Multi-axis milling is a process where part of the work piece is removed by using a rotating tool. This tool is moved in different directions to achieve a desired shape. A variety of shapes are available as cutting tools, such as squares or triangles and they can be rounded or angled. 2D and 3D shapes are also possible. The result is a visible pattern in the work piece.
CNC milling machines allow users to create intricate patterns in metal materials like steel and aluminum. They are also useful for machining delicate parts such as pistons, valves, and other engine components. Because they are controlled by a computer, CNC milling machines offer a higher degree of accuracy than can be achieved with hand operated mills or lathes. The concept of using a mill to hone metal has been around for more than a century. Milling machines have taken this process a step farther by making it possible to machine the same type of piece over and over again to precise specifications.
A CNC machine can reproduce the same level of accuracy over a production run of several hundred pieces (with regular cutting tool sharpening), which makes it an invaluable tool for anyone producing large numbers of parts for a variety of applications. It can be used for smaller tasks as well.
Secondary Operations
Finishing:
We mill thousands of flat plate type parts for several customers who service the pressure control markets in the Oil Field. These parts all require smooth edges, this is accomplished with large batch de-burring equipment. We can prepare parts for final shipment in a fraction of the time it would require using manual techniques. We are also able to create various finishes on the surface of a part. Coatings: Additionally we are able to apply various coatings as required. Zylan, Black Oxide, Phosphate etc.
